This is us-Roy Adams & Suzanne Shubha Drury

Together we established Galerie Indra: at first an art gallery of original Indian paintings and objets d’art. There we hand built custom frames & were quite the artisans, specializing in finishes in gold & silver leaf.

We launched the wholesale part of the business in the mid 80’s & then started doing our first trade shows. We started with the CNE & then added the CGTA, Edmonton & Halifax!

Our lives were a whirl-spending a couple of months every year in India on the road traveling throughout rural Gujarat & Rajasthan.

We made incredible finds-everything from antique furniture & ornately carved wooden columns and doors to vintage wooden, iron, ceramic & marble utilitarian objects with wonderful patina and style. Our customers loved it!

In the 90’s we launched our first handcrafted leather journal. Almost 30 years later-it is our biggest selling wholesale category! We still develop all our own exclusive designs with our partner in India.

We have now just added a collection of vintage style “messenger bags” & shoulder bags.
